Direct regular flights between Slovakia’s capital and Georgia have begun. Wizz Air operates three weekly flights on the Bratislava-Kutaisi-Bratislava route and will add a fourth weekly frequence starting in March. Flights are operated with the modern Airbus A321neo aircraft.

Until now, there were no direct flights between Georgia and Slovakia, and the Bratislava-Kutaisi route represents the first direct air connection between the two countries.

Bratislava is one of the key aviation hubs in Central Europe, located at a short distance from Vienna and Budapest. This geographic location creates additional opportunities for Georgian citizens for tourism, cultural, and business travel.

Currently, Wizz Air operates 24 routes to 12 countries from Kutaisi International Airport. This includes the Lyon route added in summer 2025, and by the end of the year, the airline also launched direct flights to Venice. Since starting operations in Georgia in 2012, Wizz Air has carried nearly 9 million passengers to and from the country.
